Web Design Case Study

A Case Study on DCF Concepts' Squarespace Website Creation

TENT, an organization dedicated to advancing gender diverse equality in Texas, reached out to DCF Concepts with a pressing challenge: to establish a brand-new website from scratch on Squarespace and migrate their digital presence away from Wix. As advocates for equality and social justice, DCF Concepts was excited to partner with TENT to bring their vision to life on a more user-friendly and visually appealing online platform.

TENT's mission to promote gender diverse equality through education and networking required a fresh, modern, and accessible digital space. The existing Wix website no longer met their needs, and the decision was made to create a new site on Squarespace that could effectively convey their message and provide valuable resources.

DCF Concepts embarked on a comprehensive project to design and develop a new Squarespace website for TENT, focusing on enhancing the user experience and aligning with TENT's vision. Our approach was structured into two phases, each with specific objectives:

Phase 1 - Website Design and Development

  • We initiated the project with a kick-off call to discuss project timelines, deliverables, and our weekly check-in schedule.

  • Our team designed a fresh and visually appealing website layout that aligned with TENT's brand and values.

  • All content was created from scratch, ensuring that messaging was clear, engaging, and aligned with TENT's mission.

  • We revamped the website's navigation to improve ease of use and enhance the overall user experience.

  • Accessibility was a top priority, and the website was built to comply with AAA standards to ensure inclusivity.

Phase 2 - Content Migration and Site Launch

  • The existing content from the Wix website was carefully migrated to the new Squarespace platform, preserving essential information while ensuring a seamless transition.

  • Collaborating closely with the TENT team, we ensured that all content was up to date and aligned with their goals.

  • After thorough testing and quality assurance, we launched the new Squarespace website, making it accessible to the public.

The collaboration between DCF Concepts and TENT resulted in significant achievements:

  1. Brand-New User Experience: The newly created Squarespace website offers an improved and intuitive interface, making it easier for visitors to access vital resources and information.

  2. Fresh and Engaging Messaging: All content was redesigned to enhance clarity and user engagement, ensuring that TENT's mission resonates effectively with their audience.

  3. Visually Appealing Design: The website's layout and visual elements were redesigned to provide a cohesive and engaging look, aligning with TENT's brand.

  4. Accessibility Priority: The new website is fully compliant with AAA standards, ensuring accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities.

DCF Concepts is proud to have partnered with TENT in transforming their digital presence by creating a new Squarespace website from the ground up. As a collective group of creatives dedicated to social justice, we believe in using our talents and lived experiences to drive meaningful change.

This collaborative effort showcases our commitment to delivering authentic and meaningful work that reflects TENT's vision and mission. By establishing a fresh and user-friendly digital space, we are excited to help TENT reach a broader audience and advance gender diverse equality in Texas.
